The town has grown since its founding but has remained a small town and considers itself to be a fine example of a small Indiana town. Although Milford has remained small in size, it is home to several businesses. Residents of Milford, Indiana should have heating and cooling systems installed in their homes. The town is located in a climate that experiences four distinct seasons. This means temperatures can vary drastically depending on the time of year. During the months of December, January, and February, daytime temperature highs range from the low-30s to low-40s. At night, temperatures will dip well below freezing. Also, snowfall is common throughout these months. Systems like heat pumps are best suited to protect residents and their homes from the harsh effects of extremely cool temperatures.

In addition to heating systems, residents should have cooling systems like central air conditioning units installed in their homes.
